This Forum is for users of Homestead Sitebuilder, Simple Sites, Sitebuilder Lite, Simple Stores and Storefront. You must be a Homestead user to join this Forum. We require that you provide your Homestead web site during the sign up process. The Forum is intended to be a fun and friendly place where we can all learn, discuss and share ideas.

Use of objectionable words and offensive posts
The Homestead Connection strives to maintain a wholesome environment suitable for all ages. The forums are equipped to replace highly objectionable words with "****." This doesn't mean that you can continue to include these words in your posts. Offending posts that insinuate this type of behavior will be removed and the offender may be banned from making any further posts in the forums.

Adult Content
Links to adult content, images of adult content, and conversations of an adult nature are not allowed. If you are unsure whether your site is adult in nature, please contact the forum administrators. The Homestead Connection Administrators will always take the most conservative view when deciding permissible content.

Other links not permitted include links to gambling sites, sites that consist of only links, mostly links, affiliate links or advertising, non-English language sites, sites that are racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, sites that promote violence or hatred in any form.

Flaming is strictly prohibited in the forums. We define flaming as an attack on another member, whether you think it is deserved or not. Offending posts will be removed, and the offender may be banned from making any further posts in the forum.

Links / Images
Links to other websites and displaying images within the body of posts are allowed only if they are appropriate to the conversation at hand (website addresses for reviews, helpful sites, etc). Members are allowed and encouraged to link over to their Homestead websites in their profile and in their signature.

Please limit your signature to 150 characters of plain text (font size 1 or 2 only). Left aligned only.
Size 1 fonts may be bolded for better visibility - size 2 no bold.
To ensure faster loading for low-bandwidth users, images are not permitted to be used in forum signatures. As mentioned above, members are allowed to link to their own Homestead hosted websites within the signature on file provided it is not surrounded by promotional language.

Spamming / Advertising
The forum is not a place to advertise your website or services, nor is it a place to recruit members, solicit sales, or clicks on ads. Advertising and solicitation is not permitted within posts, personal messages, emails sent via the forum or any other aspect of the Homestead Connection. Members who use the forums for this purpose will be banned.

No Policing
Members should not enforce the rules on their own. If you see a violation of the rules, please report it to one of the Administrators or Moderators. The blue "Report" button in the lower left corner of every post on this forum is there to report violations to the moderators.

Website Review Requests
Everyone began at the beginning. Website reviews are offered to help members present their site in the best possible way and normally involve constructive criticism and suggested remedies. Please don't take the critiques personally! They are given with respect.
We encourage everyone to offer reviews. Not everyone sees things the same way and whether you are new at web site building or an old hand you will have valuable insight to offer.
If you submit your website for review, it is considered good etiquette to respond to the reviews others are making.

Your opinion is your opinion and we respect that. However please remember we want to help each other so please try to be constructive at all times.

Age Requirement
You must be 16 years of age or older to register for the Homestead Connection.

Member Purge
The membership list will be purged every 6 months. Anyone who has not visited or posted within that time will be removed and will have to re-register.

We occasionally (rarely) send out a newsletter to members to let you know what is going on at the Forum, tips, contests, etc. If you do not want to receive the newsletter please send an email with the Subject "Unsubscribe" to:


Be advised that removing your address from the mailing list may result in the deletion of your account as we will have no way of contacting you.
